Why “The Verdant Flame”
Years ago, while visiting one of my favorite gardens, I snapped a photo of a giant calathea leaf. I was taken with the imperfection of its turned edges, and its intense markings, but most of all, with how it was gorgeously lit by the morning sun. I called it The Verdant Flame. Now the name reflects the balance I try to bring to all I do. The verdant that roots and rises; the flame that sparks, illuminates, and transforms. Together they symbolize the living energy that fuels both creative work and renewal.
